preferred OS- Windows 2000P or XP?

preferred OS- Windows 2000P or XP?

2005-07-06 by kipduff

I may have to get another PC- I want to go with XP Pro (2000P now).
Is there a consensus as to which is better? Someone told me that XP
was difficult in their graphics bureau. Thanks, Kip.

At the expense of contributing to the OS wars I am compelled to speak
my $.02.

Get a MAC!

I do have a lot of experience with PC's and much research before
making the switch a year and a half ago.

Kip,

this forum isn't the place to compare OS choices - unless you
are asking if one or the other OS version makes better bw prints.
More to the point: you should ask about your preferred driver for bw prints and
whether it runs on the OS of your choice or not.
I work with IJC/OPM which runs on XP pro and Mac OS X. Don't know about 2000P.
I know QTR and Imageprint run on both platforms; StudioPrint is Windows only.
Don't know if they cover 2000P. Most drivers try to stay with the current version
of an OS - which would be one of the flavors of XP.
What do you use to make bw prints?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
