Hi Robert;
I've had that happen with a 1280 when I overfilled the older, opaque
carts-easy enough to avoid with the spongeless carts, since you can see
the ink levels. Try pulling the cart and checking the well around the
input needles; there is probably a puddle there, if so clean it up with
some swabs. If the problem persists see if you can find a reason why
the cart wouldn't be seating properly. Maybe increasing the spring
tension a little might help? Also, make sure the ink refill ports on
the cart are plugged well. If you suspect the plugs aren't all doing
the job, try a drop of silicone instead.
