New Epson 4800 and K3 ink information

2005-08-02 by Steve Kale

I thought it worthwhile to cross post information posted by John Massman on the Wide
Format list:

Over the last few days Epson has released a couple documents to help the
user community: Logix has posted these documents to our web site. The links
follow.

1. A FAQ document that explains the K3 ink technology in depth.

http://www.logix-usa.com/Epson4800.html

2. A PDF that explains the nomenclature of the naming system for ICC
profiles used in the Epson 4800 and to a large degree the 4000/7600/9600
printers as well.

3. New paper sizes and quantity packaging has been announced. These papers
should be shipping and in the channel over the next couple weeks. MSRP
pricing is shown. Logix has not set our pricing yet but should withing the
next couple weeks.

Yes, aren't those Logix guys something? Mick Schell was very generous with his phone time last week trying to help me get our 7600 going after a clog from hell, and it seems that Garret Gesinski is in our facility every time I turn around...

Great bunch of folks...
