R2400 ink cost concerns

R2400 ink cost concerns

2005-08-15 by Scott Jones

I have noticed in the recent posts that memebers have noted the high
cost of R2400 ink mentioning prices around $15. My local pro photo
store actually sells them at $16.50!! (Actually more than list price).

I have solved this by getting my ink at Atlex for 11.20 a cart.
Service has beenn excellent and paper prices are WAY cheaper than my
local store as well. I have no connection with this outfit, but
thought I would pass this along. On a full set, the difference from
$15 is $30.40!

In general, I'm a supporter of buying as much as you can locally. Here's
an example of why:

So, I always try to buy locally first. If I can't find it with a local
independent merchant, I'll try a national chain. If I can't find it
there, I'll buy off the 'net.

But when the local merchant tries to screw me, like your local photo
store is clearly trying to do, I've got little sympathy. I guess one of
those "bad customers" who think loyalty should extend both ways. It's
amazing to me that some merchants will shoot themselves in the foot like
this.
