The following paper profiles are "Greyed Out" in the printer ABW dialoque box with either Mk or Pk inks: "Vevet Fine Art Paper", "Water Color Paper - Rad. White", and "Ultra Smooth fine Art," therefore, are not accessible. However, they do show in Print Preview (PS CS) profile box. I have a MAC G4, PS CS, firewire connection. Any ideas? Martin

Check the maintenance tab to make sure that the MK is shown as installed. And also check the paper feed (source, e.g., "sheet") in the Epson driver. For example, VFA will not show up if "sheet" is selected, etc. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "mxgo95747" <mxgo95747@y...> wrote: > The following paper profiles are "Greyed Out" in the printer ABW dialoque box with either Mk > or Pk inks: "Vevet Fine Art Paper", "Water Color Paper - Rad. I will check Clayton's VFA settings and see the results of printing with that profile. Thanks Martin

I am on a MAC, where is "ignore," when it states "Load this paper....." Then, can you still load the EEM paper on the front slot? Thanks, Martin

I start with "sheet" paper as the source. When I hit "Velvet Fine Art" (or UltraSmooth or Watercolor) a box pops up that is labeled, "Manual - Roll Required." It has 2 buttons on it: "OK" and "Ignore." I just hit "Ignore," the box disappears, and I continue to use the top feed tray and print as usual. The box is just a warning regarding potential feed problems with thicker papers. I'm just testing EEM to see what works best, so I don't know how bad the thicker papers feed. I assume for now that it's the same as the older printers. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

You have to select "manual - roll" before the VFA setting shows and there does not seem to have an "ignore" option. Any MAC users with the same problem? Martin

Paul, >I'm just testing EEM to see what works best, so I don't know how >bad the thicker papers feed. I assume for now that it's the same >as the older printers. The 2400 is a much more finicky beast than the 2200 was. It takes more finesse to get it to accept a thicker paper. I find that just the barest weight of a finger is best, just enough to get it into the slot where it can be grabbed (also helps if a thicker paper is bent a little bit concave). Push a bit to much and it just spits it out the front. Sort of like this printer is from Paris, where the 2200 was from Buffalo. This is like my driver on the PC--I have no "ignore," and I have to feed the VFA through the top, rearmost slot. The printer will report no media if I try to use another slot with VFA selected as the paper. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "mxgo95747" <mxgo95747@y...> wrote: > --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@v...> > wrote: > > I start with "sheet" paper as the source.
