Jon Cone's K7 inkset for 2200 - any experiences?

2005-09-07 by vartkes_peltekoglu

Hi there,
I am thinking of converting my 2200 to a dedicated B&W printer
utilizing Jon Cone's K7 inkset (www.inkjetmall.com. Is there anyone
with expereince with this set up that can comment on both the quality
of the prints as well as the quality of construction of cartridge; i.e.
leakage etc?

Hi

I have the same question. If you get any offline replies, please
include me in.

Thanks

Unfortunately (in my opinion) the community is facturing into more lists, so finding
specific info is getting to be more work. I think you'll find more user comments over on
the quadtoneRIP list.

My thoughts too. It helps to filter similar subjects into one
mail folder but the same topics are reappearing more often
this way and the special ones are harder to find. I wonder
whether there's one quadtone list member that doesn't follow
the D B&W list.

Fractured forum? (was Re: Jon Cone's K7 inkset for 2200 - any experiences?)

As with film processing and scanning, it seems to me subjects (threads) that
promote digital B&W generally, promote digital B&W printing.

Perhaps some of the threads relating to digital cameras could suffer from a
bit of overkill, maybe similar to what can happen with "Mac v. PC" debates.
I can see, for example, that a Canon v. Nikon debate could go over the top.

I, personally, would benefit from having the digital camera threads stay on
this forum to the extent they relate to B&W. For example, my own concern is
the discontinuance of Technical Pan film and what I'll be able to replace it
with when.

Fractured forum? (was Re: Jon Cone's K7 inkset for 2200 - any experiences?)

Hello All, It was not my intention to cause concern regarding
fracturing... I thought that B&W fine art printing whether we use
QuadtoneRIP, Imageprint or other techniques was of interest to us
all. I use several ways all good under unique circumstances and we
all benefit from the broader perspective we gain by reading about not
just one method but others as well... If the majority don't feel this
way I will limit myself to what is the narrow interest of the group
in the future.
cheers
