Printing in Australia

Printing in Australia

2005-09-08 by Thomas Eutebach

Hello,

I would like to get started with b&w printing in
Australia. My criteria are:
- simple to use
- no problems (e.g. clogging)
- cheap
From all I read something like BO printing or the MIS
ENZ inks seems to be the right stuff for me.

Epson does only import a very limited number of
printers to Australia like C45, C65, R210, R310. So my
questions are:
- Can I use the C65 with the ENZ ink and can I expect
good results from that? People are happy with their
C84 but they are not imported.
- Is something simple available for the R210 or R310
which can be recommended?
- Would even be something like the HP7960 be the
perfect printer for me (I am a bit concerned about
high ink consumption and limited number of papers
usable).

Any advice is appreciated - thanks in advance.
Thomas

I was looking at the C86 & MIS EZ inks, but...

I am now looking at the R200, with epson inks, and Roy Harrington's QTR.
This allows the R200 (or R210 in your case) to print with the black cart
only (or what ever you set it up to do). I'm in the UK, and haven't actually
done any proper B+W printing, but will be going down the R200 route.

Pass.
