In order to help screen out SPAM all new members on "Moderated" posting
status. This means that your first post to this group goes into a "Pending"
area until it has been approved by a moderator. If it is not SPAM your
posting status is changed to "Unmoderated" and the message approved. From
then on your messages are directly posted.
 
This has screened out some really unbelievable stuff over the last couple of
years but it can add a significant delay to your first message appearing in
the forum if the group moderators are traveling or otherwise not checking
the group frequently. So be patient if your first post does not appear right
away.
