Splitting Channels

Splitting Channels

2005-09-26 by Tom Husband

I'm looking for a tutorial on "splitting channels" in CS2 as a method
to convert color to B&W. Not "channel mixer" but making each channel
a layer and perhaps adding a mask to capture areas from one channel to
another. Anybody know of one?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes,
Gratag Macbeth have a Plug-in for Photoshop that separates your Image in P.S. into the same No. of channels that you have on your Printer. It is Technically speaking an "N" Space separator. You will need their program that allows you to input the L,a,b, Values for all of the ink's in each channel of your printer. So technically it would not matter what ink you were using as you could separate and and balance your image accordingly. If you want any more Info call me on+31 513 681 088 or send me your tel. No. "OFF GROUP" and I will call you on Skype, We have been testing this for the last 4 Months and found some remarkable results.
