Re: printing with Epson ICC profiles (more info)

I am using an Epson 2200 with the UC inks.

The two papers I am currently using are Epson EM and Moab Kayenta.

I guess that I am only using half the RIP since I am not using a QTR ICC profile at all. If someone has one created for the Kayenta paper with the 2200 especially and could share it with me then that would be terrific. One for EEM would help too in case I find that this paper with an ICC profile produces the best results.

Other than my eye ball I do not have the equipment to create one myself. Is that better then nothing?

Am I right in assuming that this profile gets embedded in the file when it is saved and that is how the RIP knows what to do differently?

Thanks.

Dave.

It's as though you are printing with the Epson driver but no ICC profile. I
am sure someone on this list with the same setup will be able to help you
get a QTR Create ICC profile at least for EEM particularly following the new
release. You convert to this profile either before printing.

QTR + 2200 + UC + Kayenta was: Re: [Digital BW] Re: printing with Epson ICC profiles (more info)

What curves and settings are you using for Kayenta? If you have
Kayenta curves would you care to share? Or share your curve choice
and settings otherwise?

I really like the QTR (UC, 2200) results I get with EEM, but would
much rather use Kayenta (which I find gives great BO results, too,
BTW). So I'm curious to hear from folks who get good QTR/UC/2200
results from this paper.

I'm not a PS user. I use PWP, save to TIFFs and use QTRGui to
print. AFAIK, PWP only supports color ICC profiles, so I don't know
(believe) QTR Create ICC profiles would help me much.

Thanks much.
