TLR Studio and sharpening

2005-09-29 by David Keenan

I have to put in the good word for The Light's Right Studio.

http://www.thelightsrightstudio.com/Digital-Darkroom.htm

I used their resizing and sharpening PS plug-ins today for my 17x11 prints.

Using the "Capture: High Pass Enhanced Edge" action and then the "Output: High Pass" action just before printing has given me results that I didn't know were possible.

I'm no PS expert and this is my first major digital black & white project but I am so glad to have remember these plug-ins and that I tried them this morning. I'm not even sure if these were the "best" choices to have made.

Still running these particular sharpening actions and taking the defaults (99% of the time) has produced amazingly better prints.

And I'm definitely not a paid-spokesman for this outfit.

Dave.
