Epson 2200 Doesn't Recognize UT7 Cartridge

Epson 2200 Doesn't Recognize UT7 Cartridge

2005-09-30 by lawprof2001

I tried printing after not using my 2200 printer for awhile. I get an
error message that the printer does not recognize one of the
cartridges, which is a UT7 cartridge. When I last printed several weeks
ago, there was no such problem. In fact, the cartridge that isn't
recognized now is probably about half empty from using it successfully
to print. Any ideas? Thanks.

What specifically is the message you're getting? Have you tried
removing the reloading the cart as if you were putting in a new one?

This happened to me a couple of times. Might be one of the pins isn't
contacting the chip correctly. Usually pressing down on the cart just
to move it a bit and ensure it is seated properly fixed it for me.
