No. You get no dots if you use paul roark's curves and the MIS Variable
Tone hex or quad inks. You want to ask for the VM black ink, not the
regular black ink. The quality equals piezo in every way.

Jerry P.S. Using pauls curves, you won't need too much more calibration
than the adobe gamma in photoshop, for black and white printing. You can
also use them with a lot of different papers, with only a slight tweak
in the epson sliders.

Hi Jerry-
I have to say that it took more than a slight tweak to print on Somerset
Enhanced with Paul's Curves. (But then I'm pretty anal about this stuff ;-)
But seriously, I tried both Transfer functions and supplemental curves, and
found it very difficult to get a smooth step wedge. Part of the problem was
that the prints shifted as they dried, so that I had to wait about an hour
between prints.

Of course, the results were well worth it!

Well, Sure, Sommerset is quite different! If you have your settings
handy, could I get them? I have a bunch of enhanced somerset I'd like to
use for cards.
