Galley visit.

Galley visit.

2005-10-25 by Chris Aitken

Over the weekend I visted the Huis Marseille [1] in Amsterdam, where I saw
some of the work by Marijke van Warmerdam. All of her B+W was silver
gelatin, but some of the colour work was inkjet. The first time I have seen
colour inkjet work in a gallery - but they do not compare in any way to Ciba
work.

I was also trying to visit FOAM [2], but did not go in the end. They have a
Cartier-Bresson exhibition from the 23rd Dec.

IMO since you state that you've not seen other inkjet work, you're not
yet in a position to make that judgement. Evidently the prints you've
seen were simply not well done.

I suggest the work of Adriel Heisey, who shoots 6X7 , printing his own
via inkjet or has digitally printed by Calypso.
