Digital BW, The Print

I'm new to this forum and just starting out with QuadToneRIP. I have 
an Epson 875 printer running MIS UT-2 ink and have had good results 
using Paul Roark's curves in PS6 for printing on glossy & matte papers 
using just the Eboni Black ink. Was wondering if any one has created a 
QuadtoneRIP curve for printing glossy paper (I like Ilford smooth) 
using this same Eboni Black ink? Is there a list of curves I can 
search somewhere?

Hi Mike;

You won't find any such curves because the Eboni does not work on RC 
papers. The Dmax is low, the ink rubs off, and the bronzing is 
extreme. Try the MIS PKN (Phohot Black Neutral) It will do what you 
want, though for that printer you may have to make your own curve. 
Which is not as daunting as it sounds: read the instructions, skip 
the densitometer linearization ( unless you have a densitometer) and 
use the Photoshop adjustment curve method to fine tune your curve 
instead.
