Digital BW, The Print

I am having no luck locating an epson 1160, I am now going to try and 
locate an epson 980.
I'd like to inquire to those using the 980, would you recommend it?
I really won't be printing anything bigger than 8x10.

I hope others respond as I have the same question.  Note the 980 is 
available refurbished at epson.com for $89.  They have a free 
shipping and free USB cable promotion that ends, I think, on Dec. 31.

Bob,

Unfortunately, they list them both - new and refurbed, but never have 
them in stock just like the 3000.

Actually, the refurbed 980 IS in stock. It showed up on the Epson site 
on Dec. 26th. Mine is in transit to me as I type...

Correct that... WAS in stock for 3 days. Gone again now. Small Dog 
Electronics (www.smalldog.com) still has 15 refurbed 980s in stock on 
their website for $129.
