The pricing seems to be more related to print size. Still, that's a lot of money.

Cheap when compared to the Nick Brandt prints. Note also the differences in edition sizes.

What does Adamson's 30x40 Brandt come to in American dollars? I still wonder what he is using to output these, Ultrachrome I imagine or the Roland... Yes, Yes, I did - but - the important fact is that they are selling
PIGMENT prints alongside conventional prints.....
In other words - pigment prints are OK to Collect!
No one else thought about that?...=*^)

Pigment ink prints have been collected for more than a few years now. AIPAD's dealers show them beside vintage Weston platinums, vintage Porter dye transfers, and just about anything else. And they sell, at the same or slightly higher prices than silver gelatin prints from contemporary photographers. -- Bruce Watson

That is good news. It did seem odd that platinum prints would sell for less than half of the inkjet prints. Estimating from some of the prints (e.g., the ones of Dylan Thomas), I'm guessing he used smaller format cameras. Maybe the pt prints are from enlarged negs and don't hold up that well against the inkjet prints? Ken
