Digital BW, The Print

Just another greyscale target. Has some lines and rectangles 
added to see whether Dmax and detail are possible on the same 
patch + some bleeding control along the range.

Nice.  I did something like that for my 26 step target, but this is much
better.
I also added a continuous tone ramp next to the patches; what I see
happening between the patch values helps significantly when tweaking curves.

The continuous tone ramp could be added. Normally I use one of 
the many already available to check the smoothness.
