DPI for driver settings in the 2400

DPI for driver settings in the 2400

2005-11-30 by Jack Winberg

Hi:

I did a search, but cannot seem to find the DPI resolution that
corresponds to the quality settings in the driver for the 2400,
"photo", "best photo", and "photo RPM". Would some kind soul please
enlighten me?

Thanks in advance.... Jack Winberg

I am not sure this is entirely correct. Epson told me that the RPM is
5760, and Best Photo 2880... Of course it is not usnusual to get
different stories from Epson...

Cheers,

Scott

RPM is an optimized resolution, which is to say that it is not a true
resolution, but one achieved through the dither. The mechanics of the
machine can only really do 2880, but the RPM is similar to what would
be achieved at 5760. It's all just a big game with the numbers.
