Paul;

Are you happy with the Nikon 8000? I am looking in to getting a good
medium format film scanner.

On another topic:

I know you and others fill their own MIS virgin carts. I have tried
filling my own too, and although I was able the get the process to work,
I was less than satisfied with the bottom fill procedure and the carts.
The main problem that I ran in to was that after filling each chamber of
the cart, some ink would drip out of the bottom before I could get the
rivet in. The same problem happened when I went to install the cart a
few days later in to my printer but even more so. When I pulled all the
rivets out of the bottom of the cart I had lots of ink dripping out of
the cart and possible cross contamination before I could get the cart in
to the printer. I was using the carts for the 1280. Perhaps the 1160
virgin carts from MIS have a better design??

Any input / insight would be appreciated!
