I was reading this review of ADOBE's beta release of Lightroom - has anyone here tried this out?

The review says that many of the most important features of photoshop (that photographers use) will be built into Lightroom. I was wondering what kind of features it might have for BW shooters? For anyone considering going in for a digital SLR - Photoshop has some powerful tools for conversion from color to BW. The program is still in beta, but would be good for folks who might try it out, to put in a plug that conversion workflows be added to the software. As well as any other BW features we might think up off.

Lightroom appears to have some distinctly B&W oriented tools, including
direct greyscale conversions from the browser (And the greyscale
conversion is reportedly intelligent, rather than a locked conversion).
Luminous Landscapes has a mini-review up and covers some B&W related
features.
