Hi, Just ordered 2 R220s for BO and color, in the process of ordering some bulk UT and MISPRO ink. Couple quick questions: 1) For the UT ink, are all C,M,Y,LC and LM different? Do I have to order individual bottle to make up the set? 2) Can I use the Eboni Black from the UT with MISPRO color set? Thanks in advance for your help. The blacks are the same. If you're going to print matte and glossy you'll need the PK as well as the Eboni.

We usually refer to "BO" (Black only) printing as using only the black (K) position ink, and no midtone inks. From the context of your question, however, it may be that you intend to use midtone gray inks. If so, the UT-R2 inks may be of interest. For those, there are 2 densities and 2 tones of midtone inks. The C & M inks are the same density. Likewise, the LC, LM, and Y inks are all the same, but lighter than the C & M. There are neutral and warm inks in these 2 densities. So, for a complete set of the UT-R2 midtones, you'd need 4 bottles of ink. > 2) Can I use the Eboni Black from the UT with MISPRO color set? > Yes. Eboni is the same for all the inksets. It is, of course, just for matte paper. Hope this helps. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
