Wonder if there are those in the know, who may wish to comment on Luminous Landscape's article about MIS inks and prints. http://www.luminous-landscape.com/columns/sm-april-05.shtml Article is about halfway down the page. Mike

Things are (even) better now. The EZ inks with the C86 and its related 4-ink printers are still the easiest to deal with, but the R220 6-ink printer with UT-R2 is now the best for the money on matte paper (and maybe some glossy papers with the right setup). The article says, "All of the MIS EZ inksets are pure carbon pigment. Unlike even Epson's excellent color UltraChrome inkset, no dyes are used at all." This is not quite accurate. The EZN uses some color pigments to neutralize the naturally warm carbon. The EZW is pure carbon (plus base, of course). The sentence implies UC K2 inks contain dyes. I don't believe that is the case. I don't think there is much in the article that is controversial or new to people on this forum. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Thanks Mike, I was looking for a program like Convert to Black and white. I think after tax season I will download the 30 day trial to see what it has to offer. Does anyone know of any negatives to this program ? Art [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
