This is an old thread, but I found it today while researching the same
problem.
The page below describes how to remove the actual "pizza wheel"
assemblies from the printer:
http://www.printequipment.de/cms/en/service-undamp-support/workshops/pizza-wheel-s.html
The instructions are clear with photos and it took me about 5 minutes
to follow them.
Note that doing this (in addition to voiding your warranty) does place
new limitations on paper handling, as noted in the article.
In particular, no more multiple sheets loaded at a time; and you can
no longer effectively print closer than 3/4" from the bottom of a
sheet. The latter issue in particular will likely require modifying
some printing habits/workflows.
But it does solve the pizza wheel marking problem on glossy paper, so
I'm happy so far.
As the saying goes, your mileage may vary.
