Image quality with Epson 2200 and UT7 inks

Image quality with Epson 2200 and UT7 inks

2006-05-12 by ronfmarshall

Hello, I am new to both this forum and to digital printing.

I recently tried printing with my Epson C82, and was pleasantly
surprised by the image quality. Especially since I was using ordinary
uncoated letter paper. I have ordered quadtone inks and samples of
real photo paper, so it can only get better.

I am wondering how the image quality would compare between prints from
a C82 and a 2200, both using UT inks?

Thanks in advance for the help.

The 2200 is, at least potentially, a much better printer. It has the
lighter inks and more of them. So, unless one gets a bad copy, the 2200
should produce noticeably smoother prints.
