Random musings re: paper sizes.

Side ratio data:
   8x10=80%
  11x14=78%
  11x17=64%
  13x19=68%

First, let me state that I still shoot film, mainly 6x7 and scan it in
an LS-9000.
For me, 8x10 has always been a standard print size. In the days of my
wet darkroom, the next size up would be 11x14. Nowadays, that size is
not available with most of the papers that I use. As far as I know,
only heavyweight matte and SPG come in 11x14.
 I find it puzzling that I must jump up to 11x17 or 13x19 with Innova,
Crane, Hahne etc.
 Help me out here---I do not understand why 11x14 has fallen by the
wayside. It is far easier for me to crop prints to suit 8x10 and 11x14.
(13x16 or 13x17 would make more sense to me than what is offered.)
 Best to all,
  Howard
