1800 Banding..roller marks like the 2200?

1800 Banding..roller marks like the 2200?

2006-05-20 by Tim Timmermans

My 1800 is starting to drive me crazy. I did a head cleaning/nozzle
check print and everything looked o.k. but the prints I'm doing lately
have treadmarks from the rollers I guess.

Looks kind of like banding but I
think banding is a more pronounced phenomenom and is related to
clogged or dirty heads right? This seems to be roller marks over wet
ink that is leaving subtle tracks.

Will that spray I used to use on my 2200 help this? A fix is nice but
avoiding the problem altogether would be preferable.

Printing on the kirkland professional glossy as well as Epson Premium
Semigloss. Using Epson inks.

Are you sure they are from the rubber roller or could they be from the metal
"pizza wheels?" If it could actually be a pizza wheel problem, you might
Goggle for "pizza wheel EpsonR printer". One thing you try for this problem
is to slow your printer down by turning high speed off and/or going into the
ink configuration and increasing the "drying time per print head pass"
parameter. The idea is to give the ink more time to dry before it passes
under the pizza wheels.
