Digital BW, The Print

I am having an odd printing issue.

I get perfect nozzle checks when I print the nozzle check pattern but
on tones that are predominantly dark cyan I get an odd smearing. Lines
or areas that should be sharp have halos and look blotchy.

The perfect nozzle checks are throwing me off. Has anyone had a
clogging problem similar to this?
