Quad7600-UT7 printing model?

Quad7600-UT7 printing model?

2006-06-15 by mccarvill

Didn't get any replies to my previous post, so here's hoping the second
time's the charm. Are any QTR users printing with UT7 inks and an Epson
7600, and which printing model are you using?

I would have expected to see a "Quad7600-UT7" printing model listed in
the software (e.g. Quad2200-UT7) but there isn't. I'd like to clarify
this before I invest in a set of UT7 inks and carts for my 7600.

Many thanks

I used IJC with my 7600 and UT7, and have a half dozen profiles. I'm not
sure if Bowhaus have more. I do recommend a rip for the best dmax, and I'm
sure QTR would work well also.

Rather than the UT7 inks I chose to go with the MIS UT-3D inks for my
7600. Haven't had a chance to install them yet but will find out soon
whether it was the right choice. Hopefully we'll get some curves
available soon.

Hi Walter,

Do you use QTR? And what were your criteria in selecting the UT-3D
inks over the UT7?

Cheers,

Yes I use QTR and I like it.

Look at http://www.inksupply.com/ut_3d.cfm and msg# 77267 on this
forum for more info on the UT-3d.
Basically the ability to print on matt/gloss paper with same inks is
very attractive to me.
