Digital BW, The Print

I just installed my first set of MIS quadtone inks 
(cartridge/variable tone) and Cranes Museo for my epson 870 and the 
first tests resulted in severly crushed/muddy midtones using any of 
the epson standard profiles. 

I assume a custom profile is the answer, but as yet I cannot locate 
one.
 
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

There are no curves available for the 870, but the 1270 is virtually 
the same printer in a larger format so the 1270 curves might 
work for you.
