Renaissance Wax/Silver Rag Report
2006-07-19 by Clayton Jones
Hello All, I got some Renaissance wax and have been trying it on Silver Rag prints and am quite impressed with it. It reduces the glare and gloss differential significantly. The trick to applying it in the highlights is to apply in libral enough amounts that you aren't "dry wiping" it on. It buffs up beautifully and forms what feels like a very hard and protective coating. The tacky feeling of the paper is also no longer apparent. Definitely an improvement. Unfortunately I am extremely sensitive to petroleum distillate fumes of any sort and have had a strong enough reaction to it that I don't want to continue using it. I would like to find a new owner for it. It's a 7oz can from Light Impressions. Was $19.95 + 9.95 shipping. If anyone is interested please contact me by private email and make an offer. I will pay shipping in continental US. Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
