R220 and matte paper

Hello everybody. I bought a R220 months ago and I'm really satisfied. I've been always printing on Epson Premium Glossy Paper and the results are very good. My problem began when I tried to print on Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight. The copy was really ugly, no contrast, greenish grays... May this be because of the inks? I've asked my provider for a specific matte ink for my printer but he tells me it doesn't exist. Could anybody help me? Many thanks in advance. Rafael
