Ink out light on R2400 yellow

Ink out light on R2400 yellow

2006-08-21 by Johnny Eades

I've had my printer for about 3 weeks and have refilled the MIS
spongeless carts. I am getting an ink out light on the yellow and PK
cart and have reset it with the resetter from MIS and still the
printer thinks iut is out of ink and will not print. I have used SSC
printer utility to attempt to reset it but can't do it. I attempted to
freeze the ink level, but do not understand how this works. The chip
box on the original Epson carts is removable but the one on MIS carts
is not. What do I do next to solve this problem?

I'd bet the MIS chip has gone bad. Swap with the one from the
equivalent Epson cart and reset it. The chip from the MIS cart IS
removable, just trim with am exacto knife.
