Epsons 220 vs 2200 ink cost

Epsons 220 vs 2200 ink cost

2006-09-06 by alankushnir

Does anyone have an idea about the relative ink costs for printing on
a 220 vs a 2200? I am printing a large quantity of greeting cards and
have both printers. I have been using the 2200, because I reserved the
220 for printing CD's and DVD's, and I have a large supply of 2200
cartridges. But maybe in this application, the 220 would be a more
cost effective.
Thanks for any input.

Hello, Alan,

I hope you don't run into my problem with postcard stock (see my
postings on "BO printing coming to a sad end". Actually, what I use
for greeting cards is thinner than postcard stock, so you should have
no problems. I like the 220 although I suspect it's not as well made
as the 2200. It's a fairly cheap printer.

Regards,

Paul
