I actually missed the original post complaining about me, but caught some of
the responses (thank you very much). There is always a fine line on lists
between technical information and marketing hype. I post about a lot of topics:
printers, inks, media, and software. I'm in a position to be pretty unbiased
about a lot of it. But the stuff that IS in my product area is also that which I
have the most useful information on. And of course, after not being able to
discuss upcoming products during R&D, I am always excited to talk about them
when I'm finally able to. So feel free to screen out my posts if you don't find
them useful; I certainly get enough encouragement from others that I'm not
inclined to stop posting.

Nor here. In fact, I'm *glad* we have people from the industry here. It shows they are at least *listening* to their customers. How else can they improve the products they offer us unless they hang around to hear us b*tch<g>?.

Now, if we get frequent-posting vendors of products designed to enlarge various body parts, I'd have to draw the line there. Unless they really work, in which case I'll forward them to my husband<ducking>.

  I *never* said that!

  Peace,

I mostly lurk, but was compelled to respond on this one.

Mr. Tobie:

Speaking for many, I'm sure, your commentary, advice and expertice are
*GREATLY* appreciated. Considering how frequently you engage in threads
or start new ones, the time commitment is not trivial and does not go
unnoticed. Your participation is a gift.

Although your knowledge is deep, your replies never make rookies feel
stupid for asking questions and you don't hammer anyone for making less
than perfect technical observations nor for having opinions different
than yours.

In a nutshell: "Keep on doing what you're doing - just how you're doing
it."
