Change in tone using UT7 and ICC's

I am using an Epson 2200 and MIS UT7 inks. I have followed the process outlined by Paul Roark to embed Photoshop curves into ICC's. However, when I print letting Photoshop CS2 manage the color and select the different ICC's I get very flat and darkened midtones for carbon, and sepia(s. Icreated the icc'c by creating a Lab file using my PrintFixPro Spectro and the PS rgb 16 raw file and then moved them into the Create ICC from QTR. Suggestions?
