The Passage of Bruce Fraser

According to John Nack's blog (http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/), Bruce Fraser
passed away yesterday after a long battle with illness. I can remember many
years ago having discussions with him on the predecessors to this list as to
how the early Epson printers managed color. His books on color management,
such as Real World Photoshop, Real World Color Management, and Real World
Camera Raw, were enlightening to many of us, and my copies are very
well-thumbed. He was a real 'PixelGenius', and his passing is a serious loss
for the color imaging community.

Yes, I saw that earlier today, but it was too saddening for me to post
it myself.
As a philosopher, I'm supposed to say something about how Bruce's
passage makes sense. Unfortunately, it doesn't. So I can't do that.
I don't know of anyone even close to being able to fill his shoes, much
less the innumerable footsteps he has left behind.
