Second Request! Need help

Second Request! Need help

2006-12-19 by stasunas

I am using an Epson 2200 and MIS UT7 inks. I have followed the process
outlined by Paul Roark to embed Photoshop curves into ICC's. However,
when I print letting Photoshop CS2 manage the color and select the
different ICC's I get very flat and darkened midtones for carbon, and
sepia(s. Icreated the icc'c by creating a Lab file using my PrintFixPro
Spectro and the PS rgb 16 raw file and then moved them into the Create
ICC from QTR. Suggestions?

I can't tell what is going on. Are your files grayscale? The carbon and
sepia curves should work just like the others. Do any of the curves you've
put into ICCs work OK?

Yes, I printed from PS CS2, the same image in grayscale for each of
the new ICC's I created.

Yes, The Neutral print looks fine, the Med Warm does appear to have a
slight warmer tone.

On some of the earlier versions of Create ICC I at least thought there was a
problem with curves that were totally flat in spots. So, what I did at that
time was make sure there was at least a tiny positive slope on the curves
that had hit the top of bottom. You might try those very minor variations,
making a new ICC with the modified curves, and see if it helps.
