HP Designjet for dedicated b&w

Does anyone have any experience using HP Designjets like the DJ90 for b&w printing with a dedicated monotone pigment inkset? I think there are refillable carts available for these printers, and the machines are reasonably priced. Would it be practical to use MIS inks in these printers? Are there any RIPs available to drive them? b&w discussion is almost exclusively about Epsons, but I am interested in what is possible with other printers ...
