Sizing an image at 288 ppi vs 300 ppi for Epson 2400

Sizing an image at 288 ppi vs 300 ppi for Epson 2400

2007-02-12 by roger98195

Hello everyone,

I recall reading somewhere that it is better to size an image at 288
ppi rather than 300 ppi for printing on an Epson 2400 since 288 is an
integral multiple of the 1440 dpi resolution of the printer.

Has anyone tested this?

Thanks,

Roger

I suggest the thread "300ppi vs 360ppi" (#67841) I started 18 months ago
might help.

The printer driver will automatically resize it to 720ppi, so it is best to
resize to 360ppi, but if it is anwhere between 240 and 480 you may not
notice the difference. There is nothing at all magical about 300ppi.
