Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone had any experience with the HP 9180 printing in B&W. There 
are two setting available for B&W printing "Composite" and "Gray ink 
only".

I sent this question to HP Help line and got two different answers.

So - which is the best?

please try sending images to printer as sRGB, use grey only, printer  
ngd color.

I found richer grey shades with composite greys.
Images can be kept in RGB while sent to the B9180.
