MIS Eboni vs.Epson Matte Black

MIS Eboni vs.Epson Matte Black

2007-04-02 by michael3442

Eboni seems to be recommended by many as the preferred matte black ink
for making BO prints. But how is Eboni superior to Epson's own matte
Black ink? Is it preferred based on proven longevity characteristics?
Or does it have to do with its shading? Other reasons? Your thoughts?
Thanks.

One is better on some papers, the other better on others.

Eboni is more neutral than the Epson version, which is quite warm. They are
both very lightfast.

As Tom mentioned, which has the better dmax depends on the paper. This
didn't seem to be much of an issue until the k3 generatinon.
