Nice (Lens) Work, Tyler

As others here have noted, Tyler Boley is featured in the current
issue of LensWork Extended.

Congrats, Tyler, and beautiful portfolio. The interview with Brooks
and the studio tour also were most enjoyable.

I ordered mine several weeks ago, is the CD backordered or did yours
take while to get?

It's about time.

I've seen a lot of pigment produced monochrome work but I've never
seen anything this good up close. He needs an Aperture monograph. This
is probably the best work ever done of the Pacific Northwest
landscape/coastline.

And mine arrived here in the UK yesterday. It's good to see Tyler's
common sense contributions here backed up by his superb images. It's a
pity we can't readily see them 'in the flesh'.

well they never moved the camera, no choice! They are just out of
frame. Despite weeks of prep, those piles just could not be dealt
with, they are created faster than than can be trashed.

It's a humbling experience to do something like this and see how full
of #@*& I am.
John and John, your checks are in the mail.

Yes, thats exactly the feeling it generates: Gee, an hour ago, I had the
answers to any possible question on the topic, then this woman with a microphone
showed up, and now I'm sure I've made an ass of myself... well, perhaps they'll
have to many interviews, and not use this one. <G> Very much an uncentering
experience. Glad to hear someone as centered as Tyler feels that way too.

Dumb question about Lenswork: if you order the Lenswork Extended on CD do
you get the printed magazine as well or is all in digital form?

Only the CD. I don't know if the images and articles in print are included on the CD.

No, you don't get the printed magazine if you just order a CD
subscription. But if you want both magazine and CD, they offer a
bundle deal.

If you're a subsriber to LensWork they're supposed to give you a discount on
the CDs but the discount doesn't show up on the order form and so you have
to pay full price. I sent them an email about this and received a response
that said they goofed and they then gave me a $6 discount. Maybe they've
fixed it by now.

Just click on < Subscribe or Renew Here > and it takes you to the page
with that info. LensWork (magazine) subscribers pay $29 for the CD
while others pay $39.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
