Digital BW, The Print

what are the preferred settings for Prtr ICC when using Epson ABW- is it:

1) Prtr ICC set to OFF 
or 
2) Prtr ICC set to 'let printer/driver manage color'
or
3) Prtr ICC set to whatever paper paper profile I'm using?

I'm coming from the photoshop world where all color management is
turned OFF in photoshop when printing to ABW- hence my confusion!

If you're using the ABW of the printer, you have to set the color management to OFF  in your application, as AWB is a non ICC managed process. 
Just don't forget to have your image converted in a gamma 2.2 RGB space like Adobe RGB  or Gray gamma 2.2 before printing.
