PremierArt 205 a brighter white than Aurora Art Natural?

PremierArt 205 a brighter white than Aurora Art Natural?

2007-08-11 by mkirschner

Can anyone who has both Premier Art 205 and Red River Aurora Art
non-OBA "natural" on hand confirm that the PA 205 is a bit brighter
and slightly less warm than the Aurora Art natural? I'm referring to
the unused paper color itself, not how ink manifests on it.

The reason for my question is I've been using some paper labeled as
Premier Art 205, but I have a small suspicion it might have been
labeled incorrectly. Whatever it is, it's a very nice paper (as is the
Aurora Art natural).

Thanks,
Mitch

Aurora Natural Lab: 96.52, 1.38, 0.86
PA 205 Lab: 97.02, 0.88, 1.86

So, you're right. The PA 205 has a higher L and B.

This is a slightly odd question, but has anyone ever noticed a
strange small to the Aurora paper? Months ago I got a few boxes of
the letter sized sheets that had a strange sweet smell to them, sort
of like pancake syrup.

I spoke to Red River and they gave me some credit, but even months
later, some of the sheets still have the smell. I've never had this
happen with inkjet papers before.

Best, David.
