Hi Peter,
The issue was, I believe, the tone of the Epson LK and LLK. I think they
changed from the K2, which matched MIS's carbon fairly well. The K3 I think
are a bit less warm-yellow and more green. But, you may be able to profile
around the EZ-W carbon and the Epson LK-LLk tone differences. Since they
are not involved in a cross-over between the two, it could be of little
significance if you are not going to do a "carbon" print. I don't think
you'll have any chemical compatibility issues.

Subject: [Digital BW] Mixing Epson and MIS inks in R2400
I'm interested in replacing the standard Epson yellow cart in my R2400
with the MIS EZ Warm cart (EZW-T0444-Y), but would prefer to keep using
original Epson carts in the other positions.
The MIS website says "To do this right, the MIS LK and LLK inks should
be used in place of the Epson inks".
What will happen if I mix Epson MK, LK and LLK carts with the EZW cart?
(I have QTR, but don't have any sort of spectro. I'm seeking durable
high quality prints on matte paper.)
