Lunar Pages boasts of the wide range of website related software you get free
with a contract; but neglects to mention that its all Windows only. Any
Mac-friendly hosters anyone would care to recommend?

I switched to Tigertech about a year ago and, given the support in sorting out a few minor
version compatibilities for the migration and suggestions on tuning my PHP scripts, I don't
know how they make a profit. Tigertech are also Mac software developers. Clicking on the
following link will contribute to my next renewal:

They're in San Francisco so when the big one comes you can expect some serious
downtime.

Another option often overlooked is www.officelive.com, which is a
Microsoft site. They have three versions, Basic (which is 100% free),
Essentials ($19.95 per month) and Premimium ($39.95 per month). This
is a total web service, includes 25 free emails, 5GB per email
storage, photo gallery, 500MB storage for Basic, 1GB for Essentials
and 2Gb for Premium. Everything can be upgraded. The pay sites
include shopping carts, auto link with accounting programs and links
with Outlook calendars and contacts. You can also create your own site
with FrontPage, Adobe or import your existing site.

I'm in the process of creating a new web site, it's really simple. The
domain name is free, and can be anything you want it to be. I have
two sites, one www.unique-photography.net and the other
NativeTexan-Photograpghy.com. You really should check it out.
