Proof paper for Harman FB Gloss?

I got my first box of Harman FB AI Gloss today, and tried a couple of prints with my R2400. I normally use a color-managed workflow with the appropriate ICC for each paper I print on. Up until today, I had only printed on matte papers (PA 205, Photo Rag, William Turner, etc.) and have been satisfied with the results this workflow produced. I use Epson Enhanced Matte for proofing before making the final prints. I've been wanting to try an F-type paper for some time, so after reading reviews I chose the Harman FB Gloss. I don't have any other glossy paper on hand, so I didn't have anything to proof with. So I just used my normal workflow: Photoshop manages color, Harman Gloss ICC profile, perceptual, black point compensation. In the Printer Settings I selected "Premium Glossy Photo Paper", "No color management" and "Best Photo". The results were completely different than what I see on my screen. Both prints were significantly darker, and all of the detail and variation in the darker tones was completely lost. With the prints I was making on matte papers, I was getting pretty good WYSIWYG results and only small adjustments were necessary. Here's an example of what I mean (sorry for the quick & dirty scans - I was in a hurry): Image 1: http://cdkarts.com/images/image1.jpg Print 1: http://cdkarts.com/images/print1.jpg Image 2: http://cdkarts.com/images/image2.jpg Print 2: http://cdkarts.com/images/print2.jpg I'm still a novice with all of this so any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris
