GROUP POSTING GUIDELINES AND OFF TOPIC POSTS

GROUP POSTING GUIDELINES AND OFF TOPIC POSTS

2007-10-10 by mwesley3

It seems that it is time for a reminder that the topic of this group
is the making of B&W prints using digital technologies. The recent
thread "Be Careful Who You Photograph in National Parks" is not only
off topic but some posters have crossed the line into flames and
outright biogtry.

The offending parties will have their posting status placed
on "Moderated" until we are comfortable that they can be trusted to
adhere to the group's policies.

As always, violation of the group policies may result in the offender
being banned from the group without notice.

Please read the guidelines that appear at the end of this post and
all posts. A more detailed statement of the guidelines is in the
Files section and I encourage everyone to review them.

To the majority who have abided by the rules and spirit of the group
we extend our continued thanks and appreciation.

Sincerely,
Martin Wesley
Group Owner

Martin,

I may have been guilty of starting a couple of OT threads, if so, my
apolgies.

I was having some paper feed issues with my Epson R220, and aked them
here. I also posted similar questions over in the Epson forum. Got
more response there and none here, couldn't figure out why at first.
But after thinking about it, I realized the more appropriate forum for
those type questions was that forum, so again, sorry to have been OT here.

Just started a new thread here this morning, which should be more in
the spirit of this forum.

Thank you!

Paul Whiting

Paul,

That is not far enough off topic to cause a problem. In general we do
not moderate the topic that tightly. The trend over the years has
been that flames and offensive posts become more likely as the posts
drift farther and farther off topic. So it is best if we do not
wander too far.

Thanks,
Martin

Martin, can you help me. Somehow I cannot unsubscribe from the forum,
my email goes to work, and I cannot have that happen any more, thanks
