Digital Images Into 35mm Slides

Digital Images Into 35mm Slides

2002-01-31 by Tony Parker

Here's one for the books, I offered to send a gallery owner a CD-Rom of my
work, and he says he'd rather have slides! Anybody have any suggestions as
to the name of the process or service bureaus that will receive digital
images and somehow print them onto 35mm slides?

Thanks

Tony,

Man that gallery is really out of date! Making 35mm slides from
computer files is very common. Check with your local service bureaus
and custom photo labs. Someone will have a film recorder to do the
job for you.

If he didn't specify 35mm slides then just print them on inkjet transparency
media :-)

Nancyscans.com, and bowhaus.com both do LVT output to 35mm- it's not cheap,
tho.
I've used bowhaus with good results; have heard (on other lists) that
nancyscans is also good.

Hi,

Spectra in New York does it for $5 each I am told. However, your dig. file
must be formatted at the size of the 35mm transparency (slide). I forget
the exact dimensions of 35mm.

Most professional service bureaus will do Digital output to slide. Look for a big pro bureau in your area.
